I can't fry a decent plate of vege. WHY!?

i stir-fried some spinach yesterday and i'm so damn proud of it. try this:

1) Chop some garlic.
2) Preheat the pan, then add some oil.
3) When the oil is hot, add the garlic and fry till a bit brown.
4) Throw the veges in and stir quickly.
5) Add salt to taste.
6) Serve.

Point to note: According to my mom, you cannot cook veges for too long. So make sure the fire is big and don't leave the veges in the pan for too long.

i tried to cook vegetables today too! it was ok.. but i left it in the (covered) pot on the stove (which was off but still kinda hot) for too long. aiyah.

albert!! my roommates say must add water. and i don't hv a gas stove.. only an electric one.. and pans tt heat up damn fast. =(
