Dial 1800-HOMESICK
Another great service from the good people at NUS:
Feeling lonely? Need a friend to lean on?
Dial 1800-HOMESICK
and Prof Gary Bell will visit you at your host institution.
But wait, that's not all! Call before the next Contract Lecture for the year ones, and we'll send in the Law Dean as well!
That's right, the Melbourne Exchangers must've misdialled while ordering pizza, cos we ran into them on the way to school today. Cool right.
p/s Loser Club Loser Club! I dreamt of you guys last night! Eh Van, chin and poopy were in the dream too. Uh...

Waiting
Somehow the anticipation has died off for me. I might regain it when I'm on the plane.
I suspect that I will be the absolute last person to leave Singapore [30/9/05] <-- anyone leaving later?? because the Kyushu International House would only allow me entry when term starts, so I would be caught in the unfortunate position of flying in (in the morning), dumping my stuff into the room, then going to school. Chop, chop.

I can't fry a decent plate of vege. WHY!?
Strike and you're out!
Leaving in 4 days.
Haven't packed.
Plans in a mess.
STRIKE IN HEATHROW
not good.
*faint*
research.. once again
*big sigh* guess what i'm doing, on wednesday which is my free day? i can't tell you how glad i am that it's raining, because if not it'll be a beautiful day to visit a museum or go to a lake or something instead of sitting indoors and trying to familiarise myself with their system.
it's so hard now when researching is not all about perind, lawnet and lexis. their library is impossible to use - i can't find anything because i don't know where everything is! it's old and dingy as well.. i miss our big bright CJ Koh Law Library.
but, on the bright side of things... anulib.edu.au has almost every legal journal on the face of this earth! haha =) all i need to do is to click.. and everything magically appears! i don't even have to step out in this cold to get to the anu law library to get my info!
but their assignments are so different! everything focuses on case law.. and we have a lot less cases to read! perhaps, one per tutorial. culture shock right. but they really expect you to know every detail.. and as for the first tutorial that i attended.. i was the only one who had my case freshly downloaded (not even printed) and unread. and even though i learnt my lesson and read up for the second and third tutorials, it wasn't in enough detail. haha..
the assignments are all.. "refer to this case. what were the majority and minority judgements? evaluate the judgements."
i am gonna be so sick of cases when i get back.
Off to Nottingham
hi~
anyone have any advice on like essential things to pack going for exchange.. starting to panic.. because i have no accommodation and haven't packed. so screwed.
~tim

oh, and han, the second icon from the right on the top of the box that u type in is an icon of a picture. just click on that and follow the idiot proof instructions. haha..
so anyway, last night was some night where all the singaporean students got together and had fun! that was SSA idol as well! (Singapore Students Association = SSA) and.. i voted for a non-singaporean hahaha... but he was really good! oh, he sang the song 'my girl' and when the hosts asked him which girl he was singing it for, he said "girls are not really my thing".. hahahaha =) but he was funny, and good.
he won a 40GB Ipod lah. ...
and it was pink.
