Chinese New Year
hey all!!
I'm in copenhagen with Sha. There's this mad idea of having a chinese new year reunion dinner.. and a major road trip. The skeletal idea is something like meeting in london (or just anywhere!) and rent two MPVs and we drive around and have this super good time.. can go UK, Europe.. wherever!!
Ideas? Must book early!!

The Big Apple
Lionel and I went to Broadway to watch The Phantom of the Opera last night. It was brilliant, and I think we both loved it. Or at least I did. The music was great, and the sets were really
atas. I think we are resigned to spending a lot of time (and money) watching musicals this academic year.
Lionel is living on 3rd Street, while I'm living on 110th Street; downtown and uptown Manhattan respectively (about 40 - 50 minutes apart). If anyone is planning to visit, I think we will both be happy to accommodate you, though because Lionel lives in a room within an apartment, his place will definitely be more comfortable than the closet I live in. Not to mention he is paying twice the rent I pay. I will be happy to take people around though; have more or less figured my way around most of NYC, though I haven't quite explored beyond Manhattan into Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, etc yet.
There's much to see in NY, including the museum mile, with the Metropolitan, MOMA, Guggenheim and American Museum of Natural History all within a neighbourhood. There's also Central Park, Chinatown (two of them, one in Manhattan and one more in Queens), Little Italy, Lincoln Centre, Soho, Union Square, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Broadway musicals, etc if anyone is remotely interested.
So if anyone is planning to drop by NY, do drop Lionel and I a note. We will try to make your trip as pleasant and cheap as possible. Unless of course, you are Michael Tang or Lamesh.
Holidays are here! for me, at least
over here, we don't have to work during our holiday. (well, actually i do. because i have an essay due after that.) but the point is, everyone plans trips and everyone is going somewhere =)
anyway i just handed in essay #2 and essay #3 today. dave says we should post our essays here so everyone can see what kind of substandard work we have but i shall spare everyone from the lack of research, organisation, and proof reading.
having fun everyone? i bet!
